At The Publishing House Bed & Breakfast, we are dedicated to protecting your privacy and safeguarding your personally identifiable information.
Information Collection
Our main purpose in collecting your personal information is to provide you with a streamlined experience in making reservations at The Publishing House Bed & Breakfast. We only collect information about you that we consider necessary for achieving this. Personally identifiable information is only obtained when making a reservation. Any and all identifiable information provided will not be disclosed to anyone unless we are specifically requested to do so by you. The Publishing House Bed & Breakfast does not give or sell to anyone any information we collect on our site. We sometimes use data collection devices such as "cookies" on certain pages of the site to measure effectiveness and safety. A "cookie" is a small file that gets placed on your hard drive that helps us provide our services. You are free to decline cookies if you choose to.
Security
At The Publishing House Bed & Breakfast, we take security seriously. When users make a reservation we use every precaution to safeguard it online and offline. Your payment and personal information is always safe. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address so that it cannot be read over the internet.
Policy Modifications
The Publishing House Bed & Breakfast may amend this Privacy Statement from time to time in order to meet changes in the regulatory environment, business needs, or to satisfy the needs of our guests, properties, strategic marketing partners, and service providers.
deposit & Cancellation policy
Reservation deposits:
A one night, non-refundable deposit will be charged upon booking with the full balance due and non-refundable 72 hours prior to check-in. If you part of a group staying in seven rooms or more we require a 20% non-refundable deposit, with the balance due 30 days prior to check-in.
Cancellations (regardless of the reason for cancellation, moving reservation, shortening of reservation, or early departure):
As stated above, your deposit remains non-refundable. At our discretion, if we are able to re-book your room we will arrange for a refund of the difference received minus a $50 rebooking fee. Cancellations or reductions in duration of reservation made within 3 days of the check-in date will be charged 100% of the reservation. Third-party pre-paid reservations (Expedia, Hotels.com, Booking.com, etc.) are non-refundable regardless of when cancellation is made.
Whole-house reservations and groups staying in seven rooms or more require a 20% non-refundable deposit. Once the balance has been paid the whole reservation is non-refundable. We strongly encourage all guests to consider travel insurance that covers your personal risk as we do not offer refunds or credits in case of trip cancellation for any reason.
pet policy
WE LOVE PETS! (in fact we have two pugs, Angus and Louie, that live onsite) but unfortunately due to size and the potential for other guest's allergies, we do not allow guests’ pets to stay at the B&B (service animals see below). However, the West Loop hosts some great pet accommodations. The following are a few that we can vouch for highly. Please note you will need to arrange your pet boarding prior to arrival as they require up-to-date vaccinations and can fill up quickly in high season.
